Foundations of a Beauty Enthusiast

I come from a small town in Sussex, UK. From the age of 6, all I wanted was to become a hair stylist & makeup artist so that I could make people feel great about themselves.

The artistry that can be created through hair & makeup has always fascinated me. As a teenager I would linger over the editorial pages of British Vogue studying just how they applied the models eyeshadow, lip color, seamless foundation & how the texture of the hair was manipulated to create a striking look. I would meditate on those images as I lie in bed.

Bringing the Dream to Life

I did all I could to blaze the trail I wanted to walk. I enrolled myself in prestigious schools & studied above and beyond what was required because I was so enamored by the fashion & beauty industry.

In my early twenties I moved to London and worked in London's West End. I'm proud to say I've worked with some of the best hairdressers in the world, been privileged enough to work at London Fashion Week, and styled hair for TV and celebrities (ok, it was just the one celebrity... but I'm still proud of that achievement).

Early Career & Core Values

When I was based in the West End of London, UK, (the fashion district) my clientele was extremely diverse, it was a huge time of growth in my career. With that history, I have had a lot of experience with all hair types and textures I work with curly & coily hair, straight hair, wavy hair, damaged hair & more.

It is my core belief that as a hairstylist, it is my responsibility to learn how to navigate any hair texture or type & to work alongside the guest to make them feel at home & in good hands.

I also believe that it is a gift to be able to elevate others, so a haircut with me is an experience. My goal is for you to leave my salon suite feeling absolutely amazing, with hair that you can manage at home until the next time we meet! Ofcourse, you are always welcome for weekly treatments and blowouts as needed too.

I am in love with natural haircare. I believe in the power of essential oils and natural ingredients, so I spend a lot of time researching & sourcing the best products that support the ideals of being clean and sustainable, as well as performing well on any hair type.

Because of my experience with haircare over the last 28 years, I am able to recommend the right product for you, whatever your hair needs may be.

From London to Santa Cruz, CA

n 2009 I took a much needed vacation and met the love of my life in California. At the same time as falling in love with him, I also fell in love with the beaches, the sun & the relaxed way of life.

Building my own business

We got married in a garden setting in Monterey, California in 2010. Now we have two incredible children that make us so happy. It was there that I began the bridal aspect of my business, beautifying brides in the San Fransisco Bay Area for six years.
