Natulique Botanical Scalp & Hair Treatment

With the help of this treatment process, hair loss can be prevented and new hair growth is possible.

  • Beginning with a microscopic look at your hair root and scalp, we can determine the needs of your scalp.

  • Using the Natulique Natural Boar Bristle Paddle Brush, we brush through your hair to remove any buildup and distribute your natural oils through the hair shafts. These brushes are anti-microbial, so they cleanse and stimulate the scalp.

  • Next, using a massaging technique, we exfoliate the scalp. The Exfoliative Scalp & Skin Therapy contains cocoa seed butter, lavender leaf extract, tea tree oil, and aloe vera leaf extract. This formula rehydrates the skin, which combats dryness and dandruff and relieves any inflammation that may be present.

  • Then we apply Rejuvenating Hair Mist, which contains high concentrations of antioxidants and vitamins that help strengthen individual hair strands and protect the scalp.

  • The hair is then treated with the Intensive Hair Mask, which deeply penetrates your hair shaft with ingredients such as as acai fruit extract, argan oil, and shea butter. Your hair is wrapped in a towel while the products get to work for about 20 minutes.

  • Finally, the Anti-Hair Loss Serum is applied to key areas of your hair that need support. This clinically proven, ultra stimulating hair growth solution increases the production of hair growth, encourages new hair growth, and helps to prevent further hair loss.

Hair Growth Cycle

There are 3 stages in the hair growth cycle. These stages are known as the Anagen phase, the Catalan phase, and the Telogen phase.

Each follicle is independent and goes through the growing cycle at different times. The majority of hair is in the Anagen stage, growing and healthy. This is the hair we trim, style, color and treat.

Anagen Phase

The Anagen phase is when the hair actively grows from the roots for a period of about 2-7 years before the follicle becomes dormant. During this time, hair can grow anywhere between 18-30 inches, depending on your genetic makeup, age, health and other factors.

Catalan Phase

The Catalan phase is a brief period following the anagen stage. Over about 2-3 weeks the hair stops growing and detaches itself from the blood supply, resting in the follicle.

Telogen Phase

The final stage is called Telogen. While the completed hair strand rests in the follicle, a new hair strand begins to grow beneath it. This phase lasts about 3 months. At the completion of this phase, the resting hairs will fall out, allowing for the new hair to grow through the follicle.

Hair Loss Factors

When we brush our hair and see strands of hair come out, it can cause a degree of alarm. But did you know that on average we shed between 70 to 100 strands of hair on a daily basis?

But what if more than the usual amount of hair is falling? Do you feel concerned over thinning hair? Is there anything that can be done?

Seek medical advice when dealing with thinning hair to determine the actual factors that are responsible. Trichologists and dermatologists are experts when it comes to the field of hair loss and your doctor may also be able to provide answers.

Androgenic Alopecia

Also known as hereditary hair loss, inherited genes cause the hair follicle to shrink and eventually fall out. In women this tends to present itself as overall thinning of the hair, especially throughout the crown and a widening hair part. In men, the signs are a receding hairline or a bald spot on the top of the crown.

Alopecia Areata

Alopecia Areata is a condition where the immune system attacks the hair follicle, causing the hair to fall out in patches. It can be stress induced. When the hair eventually regrows, it may lack pigment.

Stress & Illness

Stressful events in life, long term illness, Covid-19, or surgery (among other factors) can cause hair to fall out. Since hair growth is cyclical, it may take up to 9 months after recovering from these factors before noticeable regrowth happens.

Other Factors

There are many other causes of hair loss, for example, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disease, a lack of nutrients such as iron, zinc, biotin or protein, or certain medications.
